The Aloha Village day visitor centre is the crowning glory of the Tahitian-style Wild Coast Sun, the premier coastal family resort. Its 33 metre high dome dominates the skyline. This is the resort for family entertainment and children are inspired by the Aloha Village. The South Sea island theme is prevalent and the funfair mood is tangible. There is a range of participation and redemption games, funfair-style games and sophisticated video games spread throughout the Village. For the more youthful member of the family games include Bang a Rang, Tic Tac Toe, Cracky Crab and Wack a Crock. For children over 6 years of age, games include Street Fighter, Formula 1 racing - Power Drift, Fighter pilot and Grand Prix circuit. Strikers Ten Pin Bowling is situated here.
The Magic Jungle is a supervised play area for children from three to 13. There are Sony Playstations, a Legoland room, a Barbie Room, Paint room, Ball Pen, Party room and a sleep room. Even adults are taken care of with a parents' lounge, for moms or dads who want to keep an eye on their kids at play.
For those with a taste for adventure, try the all-weather covered go-kart track for young - and older - grand prix aspirants to test their skills.
Kamp Kwena provides children with an exiting and fun filled holiday, giving parents the opportunity to enjoy all the Wild Coast Sun facilities, assured that their children are in good hands and enjoying themselves. The activity programme is operational during seasonal periods only and caters for children from 4 - 12 years old, with various programmes offered during the school holidays. Indoor activities are creative such as biscuit decorating, mask making, colouring in, finger painting, board games, balloon volleyball, bingo bash, pass the parcel, musical games and puppet shows.
Horse riding is available at the Wild Coast Sun. Professional tuition and supervised rides along the vast stretches of coastline can be arranged.
Waterworld is open from 09h00 - 17h00. The open deck bar and shop are close to the river banks with a superb river view. Expert instructors are on hand and the following activities are provided: Water-skiing, Jet skiing, Speed boat rides, Paddle Boats, Wake Snake & Tube Rides, Aqua-scooters, Canoes, Family Boats and a Double-deck river boat with full bar and refreshments.
The Wild Putt mini-golf course is situated at Beachcomber.
Wild Coast Sun is a family styled hotel with 246 guest rooms comprising double rooms, twin rooms, family rooms, junior suites, luxury suites, Presidential suites and two paraplegic rooms. Of the family rooms, 32 are sea facing and 34 golf course facing. In addition, there are 50 Gold Crown Vacation Club Timeshare units.
The stylishly decorated rooms and suites at the Wild Coast Sun overlook the panoramic Indian Ocean or the rugged beauty of the championship golf course, and are fitted with every possible convenience. Chico's Buffet is open daily for breakfast and dinner. The children's dinners are served here from 17h00 to 18h00. The dinner buffet has a selection of carveries, curries, salads, stirfry, pizza, casseroles, grilled fresh linefish and a variety of desserts. The restaurant is open seven days a week.
Driftwood Terrace is open for lunch on weekends and seasonal periods only. Situated adjacent to the pool deck, this area is ideal for light, alfresco lunches served daily, weather permitting. The menu comprises dishes cooked to order at the buffet.
The Magic Food Walk is open daily and is located in the Aloha Village. This is the ideal family stopover for a fast food meal, pizza or cool drink.
Squires Loft, which is open daily, is conveniently situated in the casino. This restaurant has an exotically stocked aquarium and breathtaking views of the sea. The outlet has an a la carte menu.
Surfers is open daily and is located adjacent to the pool deck and Driftwood Restaurant. Surfers offers a variety of ice-creams, cakes, waffles and toasted sandwiches. The Country Club is open daily and allows you to enjoy commanding views of the championship course with your light snack or drink.
Driftwood Bar is open daily and located at the indoor pool with magnificent Ocean views. This bar is a favourite of regular guests, serving exotic cocktails. The Resort also offers the use of the Lagoon Bar, Pearl Room Bar, Plantation Room Bar and Calypso Bar.

The Wild Coast Sun has an extensive and fine range of facilities. Land-based sports are centred on the Wild Coast Sun's double-storey Sport Centre close to the main hotel which includes two bowling greens, squash, tennis and volleyball courts. All equipment can be hired from the Sports Centre.
The Indian Ocean is moments away and guests can lie on loungers next to the pool soaking up the sun, overlooking the beach and Ocean.
The Casino has a range of table games including Poker, Blackjack and Roulette. The slots are numerous and creative and include various Sun International and local progressive jackpots which include some of the Million Rand jackpots
The championship golf course, home of the SA Masters, is not only one of the most beautiful in Africa, but also one of the toughest. It is included in the annual Golf circuit, and also holds its own major events every year. Its 19th hole is a friendly country club atop a small hill, with a balcony on three sides for watching the golf - or the sunset over the water. There is also a well-stocked pro shop and resident Professional Golfer.
The Health & Beauty Salon is located on the second floor of the hotel, and provides a full range of beauty treatments including pedicures, manicures, facials and massages. There is also a sauna and spa bath available.
The Hair Salon, located in the main reception area, is open from Tuesday to Saturday and provides a full range of hair care services.
There are 3 swimming pools. The main pool below the hotel is set in lush green lawns overlooking the vast cobalt ocean. Close by is a children's pool, set among the palms, and inside the informal solarium there is a crescent-shaped pool. Snacks and beverages are served poolside. All pools have sun loungers.
Wild Orchid Show Bar is an elegant revue bar featuring live entertainment and disco's. The bar is open during the show. This venue is open weekends and seasonal periods only. |
