Zulu Nyala Game Lodge and the Heritage Safari Lodge offer superior comfort in a wild African setting. Nestled between Mkuze, Hluhluwe and St. Lucia reserves, the Zulu Nyala private game reserve provides a unique and authentic taste of the African bush in the heart of South Africa's most diverse conservation regions and is home to a wide variety of game from majestic elephant, rhino, buffalo and stealthy predators to abundant plains game and a wealth of bird life.

- Turtle Tours in season.

Zulu Nyala Game Lodge:
The stunning stone and thatch hilltop lodge offers comfort and hospitality with 50 tastefully decorated rooms and suites that pay tribute to the region's magnificent ethnic heritage.
Heritage Safari Lodge:
Originally built in the 1940's at a famous watering hole along the Lourenco Marques (Maputo) route, this gracious old hotel has been restored to its former colonial grandeur, enhanced with a delightful colonial ambience and new accommodation facilities, themed to highlight Zululand's own cultural development. The hotel has 59 twin rooms and 42 luxury safari tents and is ideally situated for access to many "heritage" and conservation sites in the region, which guests may explore privately.
Zulu Nyala Game Lodge:
Weather permitting, breakfasts and lunches are served on the veranda or in the dining room. Dinners are served 'alfresco' in our traditional 'boma', or alternatively, bush dinners may be arranged. Breakfasts are buffet style continental and full English; Buffet lunches include salads, cold cuts and light traditional hot dishes and Dinner is Buffet style including a traditional and venison 'carvery' with a variety of other dishes. Special dietary meals catered for by prior request.
Heritage Safari Lodge:
Weather permitting; meals are served on the veranda or in the 'boma'. All meals are served buffet style with breakfast being full English; lunch a selection of salads, cold cuts and light traditional hot dishes and dinner a traditional and venison 'carvery'. A snack menu is also available during the day.
Zulu Nyala Game Lodge:
Personal attention is provided by a host ranger, who plans each guest's activities to squeeze the most out of every precious moment spent in the bush. Guests can seek out the unexpected on day or night game drives in an open Land Rover, follow in the footprints of the elephants along ancient riverbeds during guided walks, or relax with a sundowner. Zulu Nyala is highly regarded for its excellent cuisine, bush venues and amphitheatre.
The Game Lodge facilities include a lounge, dining room, private entertainment lounge, boma, bush venues, bar, Spa for relaxing body treatments and massages, swimming pool and pool deck, tennis court, reception and craft centre. Facilities for tennis, snooker, and volleyball are at hand.
Heritage Safari Lodge:
The estate adjoins the Zulu Nyala Game Reserve and games drives, river boat cruises and clay pigeon shooting at Zulu Nyala can be arranged on request but is subject to availability.
Tours to neighbouring game reserves, namely the greater St. Lucia Estuary, Hluhluwe, Umfolozi and Mkuzi Game Reserves, Sodwana Bay and various Zulu cultural villages can also be arranged.
The facilities at Heritage Safari Lodge include an authentic outdoor 'boma' facility which can accommodate 180 people undercover; a curio and amenities boutique; two bars and social lounges; a swimming pool in a landscaped garden setting; and a function/conference room.
Day visitors and tour busses are welcome to join us for lunches and dinners and special rates are applicable to guides and tour leaders. Shell diesel fuel is also available on site for buses and cars. |
Rates are R 1750.00 per person sharing inclusive of all meals and 2 game drives per day.
Children over 12 years of age pay the full adult rate.
Children under 12 years of age pay half the adult rate.
Children under 5 years are free of charge.
