| Children’s Facilities & Policy |
Children of all ages are welcome at The Bush House. We regret that youngsters
under 6 years are not permitted on game drives but we do offer “bush bumbles”
Children between 6 and 12 are allowed on game drives at the discretion of our guide.No children under 12 are permitted to go on bush walks out of camp.
We do not have a standardised kiddies program but prefer to speak to the family
to tailor make a package that is interactive ,exciting and personalised.
Here are a few of the activities that we offer:
Baking with the Chef
Kiddies bumble with the Field Guide
Arts and Crafts
Board games and puzzles
Face painting
Game watching at the waterhole
Wildlife and kiddies DVD's
Outdoor activities- including swimming (weather permitting)
There is a child minder service available (that is excluded from our rate) at R30
per hour and we are most happy to make provision for alternative meals at any time convenient for children.
Staff qualified in first aid are always available in camp and we have a medical
Evacuation facility should there be an emergency.
We do have camper beds and a cot available on request.
Our rooms are grouped in twos making it most convenient for adults and older
children to be in seperate rooms but very close by to one another.Two of our rooms are large enough to sleep two adults and two children sharing with the other four rooms able to sleep three.
We do have camper beds, cots and high chairs available.
Special dietary requirements are accommodated as much as possible.
Our camp is fully fenced with a lovely garden with big trees and shady lawn;
perfect for games like cricket and rugby or for one of the many activities we offer.The Lodge has its own stunning waterhole where game come to drink
throughout the day and night. |
