These two exceptional, privately owned lodges, run by Jan and Jaci, together with an outstanding team, will exceed all your safari expectations.
Situated in the MALARIA FREE Madikwe Game Reserve boasting 75,000 hectares of BIG FIVE 'territory.' You can also expect to see Wild Dog, both Black and White Rhino, extensive plains game, including Sable, Gemsbok, Springbok and Giraffe, as well as over 340 species of birds.

Children of all ages are welcome at Jaci's.
Children aged 12 and under are comfortably accommodated in their parents' room on their own stretcher.
Children aged 7 years and under are taken on their own “Jungle Drive” during the day by one of our rangers - this is a kiddie's drive and is geared totally to the children's interests and age level. We provide an earlier evening meal at 18:00 for the "littlies" as we do not allow children in the boma for the evening meal.
Baby sitters are provided to look after the "littlies" while the parents are on the Game Activities.
Children aged 8 to 12 on the Game Drives with their parents are also given an earlier dinner in the dining room, when they return from the Game Drive. We find this works very well as children are hungry and tired by the time we serve and eat dinner.
The Game Reserve does not allow children under the age of 12 to do walks inside the Reserve.

JACI'S SAFARI LODGE
Safari Lodge masterfully blends into its surroundings, encompassing a magnificent main area built around an ancient termite mound. The location was discovered and the concept envisaged by Jan in combination with Jaci's colourful decorating style and attention to detail you are sure of a memorable and unique Safari experience.
Featuring only eight large rooms and the exclusive 2 bed-roomed "Nare Suite" - all built with shaggy thatched roofs, canvas walls and large tented windows - to create a true safari atmosphere, inviting you to enjoy your bush surroundings. Early risers may catch a glimpse of Bush Babies returning to roost in the trees around the rooms or enjoy the morning Francolin calls.
The generous Main Lodge consists of a spacious lounge and open plan dining area with uninterrupted views of the bush. Enjoy fire cooked meals in our enclosed boma, or under the stars at a bush braai.

JACI’S TREE LODGE
Jaci's Tree Lodge opened in December 2002 - with Eight "Tree Houses", each encompassing a giant Tambotie or Leadwood Tree.
Each “Tree House” is constructed amongst the Riverine forest on stilts, up to 6 meters above the ground. In these spacious “Tree Houses” – built utilizing a combination of rosewood, thatch and stacking doors - the forest surrounds are invited in, to compliment your stay with us. An open plan, en-suite bathroom with an enormous stone bath and outdoor “Jungle Shower” allow you to enjoy your forest surrounds.
Relax, on the deck in front of your room, in the main lodge or wander to the forest pool to cool off.
Raised wooden walkways, suspended in the forest canopy lining the banks of the Marico River, will connect with the extraordinary Main Lodge and its generous facilities.
Enjoy fire cooked meals in our enclosed boma, or under the stars at a bush braai.

Children’s policy for children 10 and under sharing a room with their parents :
Children of all ages are very welcome at Jaci's. Children aged 10 and under, sharing with their parents in the same room, qualify for a special Kiddies rate. This rate includes child minders and the "jungle drive". Children aged 8 - 12 are allowed on the adults drive and will be given dinner in the dining room on their return from the evening drive (no children 12 and under allowed in the boma). The little ones 0 - 7 are taken on a separate "jungle drive" during the day - this is anything from 1/2 an hour to an hour and a half depending on the interest levels of the kiddies on the drive. Parents are welcome to come along BUT must not behave like adults!!! Child minders look after your treasures while you are on drive and dinner is served @ 18.00 in the dining room.
Please note that guests must please be correctly informed of the exact Lodge that they are booked into. The Lodges are completely different and separate to each other even though the rates are the same.

Reservations:
- All reservations are provisional until confirmation is received in writing – this will replace the requirement for a 50% deposit and bind you to the terms and conditions as set out below.
- All reservations are provisional until a 50% deposit has been paid.
- Upon receipt of the 50% deposit your booking will be confirmed.
- The full balance to be paid 2 weeks before arrival.
- We reserve the right to cancel provisional bookings at our discretion should the rooms be required.
- After your booking has been confirmed, any amendments will be done subject to availability. A fee will be charged for amendments at our discretion.
Cancellations fees applicable as follows:
- All cancellations must be in writing and will be accepted from date of receipt.
- 90 Days prior to arrival date 10% of the reserved room fee applicable
- 90 – 61 days prior to arrival date – 25% of reserved room fee applicable
- 60 - 15 days prior to arrival –50% of the reserved room fee applicable
- 14 days and less prior to arrival – 100% of the reserved room fee applicable
If rooms that have 100% cancellation fee on them are resold Jaci’s Lodges will reimburse the Company/person penalised with 90% of the amount received.
Children’s Policy:
Children of all ages are welcome at Jaci’s and are especially catered for.
- We have a special rate for children 12 and under sharing with their parents.
- Children aged 12 and under sharing with their parents are not allowed in the boma for the evening meal.
- Children aged 8 – 12 years are allowed on the adult’s game drive, and will then eat dinner in the dining room on their return.
- Children aged 7 years and under are specially accommodated on their own Jungle drive during the day, and are given dinner at 18:00 in the dining room.
- Childminders are provided as part of our service.
Specialized children’s safaris now available at an additional cost – optional and can be booked direct at Jaci’s Lodges.
General:

- Guests are welcome for Brunch/lunch on the day of arrival at an extra charge of ZAR 75.00 per person.
- Brunch/lunch is included on the day of departure.
- Park entrance fees of ZAR 25.39 per adult and ZAR 12.70 per child/pensioner are NOT included.
- Please advise intended route to Jaci‘s as well as ETA.
- All gates into the reserve close at 20:00
- Children aged 12 and under sharing with their parents qualify for our special children’s rate.
Air & Road transfers:
All rates quoted are valid for 10 days and will only be confirmed once a FULL payment has been received. Up until that time prices are subject to change without prior notification.
