Set against the backdrop of the majestic Langeberg mountain Range, the Garden Route Game Lodge guards the entrance to South Africa's world famous Garden Route Coast. Only 3½ scenic hours drive from Cape Town, this malaria free, private game reserve is home to an abundance of animal and bird life including the BIG 5. Unlike most game lodges, Garden Route Game Lodge welcomes and caters for children of all ages.

The children's program at the Garden Route Game Lodge has been designed to stimulate interaction between children and nature. Children are taught to be aware of our environment and the many lessons nature can teach us while having fun at the same time. There are a variety of programs on offer to cater for all children including bush survival skills, children’s game drive and guided bush and insect walks, all overseen by our professional caring staff.
CHILD POLICY:

• Children between 6 and 12 years pay half price for accommodation packages, meals
& game drives.
• Children between 3 and 6 years pay quarter price for accommodation packages, meals
& game drives Children under 3 are free.
Our recently refurbished spacious Lodge rooms combine luxury and comfort with an African theme. Complete with en suite bathrooms, the Lodge rooms lead onto a West facing balcony which offers breathtaking African sunsets all within steps of the pool. These rooms are ideal for families and are located closer to the Lodge amenities. Of the 16 Lodge rooms, 8 are Family rooms. Toy boxes are placed in rooms prior to family arrival. All family rooms are equipped with fridges and DVD players for kids enjoyment.
Dining at the Garden Route Game Lodge is a relaxed affair where guests get a chance to discuss the days and make new friends. Dinner in our African Boma provides guests with a unique dining experience where a hearty menu of tasty traditional cuisine and chef’s specialities are presented on open coals in African pots. Our friendly and attentive waiters are on hand to explain the menu or advise you on our selection of fine South African wines. Breakfast and dinner are included in your stay. Special children's menus and meal times are available. Kindly inform us of any special dietary requirements when making your reservation.
Visitors to the Garden Route Game Lodge can enjoy game viewing in open Landrovers, Family Friendly accommodation and a memorable dining experience in our Boma restaurant. Our friendly staff and management are there to take care of your every need to complete your unforgettable stay.
Wildlife activities include guided game drives, guided tours of our Reptile Center and Cheetah Conservation Center or guided horseback rides in the reserve.
