Monkey Town Primate Sanctuary is situated just outside of Somerset West.
A memorable interaction with exotic monkeys from the rain forests of Africa and the Amazons. As a primate sanctuary, tourism destination and wildlife conservation centre, it is one family outing that you will not forget.

MONKEY TOWN EDUCATIONAL TOURS FOR LEARNERS
Monkey Town Primate centre is a wildlife sanctuary for monkeys and apes with more than 230 individual monkeys of 27 different exotic species, including chimpanzees, accommodated in a leafy park. Our aim is to contribute to the conservation of primates of the world, and make families and friends enjoy the beauty of animals and nature with a fun outing. There is also a touch farmyard, many bird species and small antelope on the premises.
We are inviting you to visit Monkey Town with our learners for an educational outing and take part in our special education programme.
We can accommodate 120 learners at a time from Monday to Friday.
Special entry fee for learners is R18.00. One teacher/adult per 10 learners may go into the park free of charge to supervise.
The various programmes entail a short presentation/lecture by Monkey Town staff followed by group activity/guided field trip and tour through Monkey Town.
The time allocated should be at least 1 hour.

The touch farmyard is a great favourite amongst old and young alike. The farm boasts a variety of animals including a donkey, dwarf goats, potbelly pigs, sheep, chickens, doves, rabbits, guinea pigs and tortoises. One may visit the farmyard during or after your tour of the primate centre.
 
A great way of ending your visit is to have some light refreshments at the open-deck restaurant area while the children spend time playing at the jungle gym.
 
BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Feel free to join us for a cup of coffee and chat to view our premises here at Monkey Town, as we do have a couple of different options available for young and old.
At Monkey Town we offer birthday parties from R25 per child and R40 per adult, were the children are taken on a fun and informative guided tour through the park. Afterwards they also visit the touch farmyard and can play in the play park.
At Bonnie Doon Recreational Area which has: Jumping castles, trampolines, water slides, rock swimming pool with two slides, bush pub with closed deck, and we do the catering for this party at R60 per child. Parents do not pay in this area, and can bring along meat or picnic basket for a braai or picnic.
What more could you want than having a great party outdoors surrounded by nature and the primates who call it home!
